He took charge as Managing Director of the Mathrubhumi Printing & Publishing Company Ltd., Kozhikode on 11th November 1979, when the company was passing through turbulent times. Even while incorporating the latest in printing technology and keeping pace with change, the Mathrubhumi continues to draw strength from its hoary tradition since its founding in 1923, in the crucible of the national freedom struggle, and continues to serve the interests of Keralites worldwide.
