He took charge as Managing Director of the Mathrubhumi
Printing & Publishing Company Ltd., Kozhikode
on 11th November 1979, when the
company was passing through turbulent times. With
eleven editions, including 3 from Mumbai, Chennai
and Bangalore and 9 periodicals, the Mathrubhumi
is among the largest publishing houses in the country.
Even while incorporating the latest in printing
technology and keeping pace with change, the Mathrubhumi
continues to draw strength from its hoary tradition
since its founding in 1923, in
the crucible of the national freedom struggle, and
continues to set the agenda as in the past. The

Illustrated Weekly: Started in 1932, is
inalienably intertwined with the history of modern
Malayalam literature, nurturing the careers of the

Women's monthly was started in 1979, and

| Mathrubhumi Online: On 5th September, 1997 the Company officially launched the online edition (www.mathrubhumi.com) of the newspaper for the global Malayalees. field of Motion Picture was made in 2002. Mathrubhumi
Kalotsavam and Mathrubhumi Film Award function have
contributed to brand-building as well as anchoring
a presence in the field of event management. All
